Our Technology

At Eyebou,  our world-class engineers, researchers, optometrists and ophthalmologists are working to create tele-health that is accessible,  reliable and scalable. Using our proprietary AI system, we have developed several eye screeners to validate existing prescriptions, detect below average vision, screen for abnormalities such as strabismus and to monitor existing eye conditions all from 1 device - your smartphone or tablet.

Any vision issues can be discussed remotely with a registered optometrist via our platform and referred for further in person examination when needed.

Our Vision

With 1 billion people globally not receiving the eye care they need, the impact on education, economic development of the individual and the economy, and quality of life is immense. We want to put our technology in the hands of collaborators to impact the lives of those who need it most. We believe the world needs more charity and social impact projects. There is work to be done and we plan to be active contributors in this space.

Use Case

Eyebou are collaborating with SOS Children’s Villages and Unicef in Colombia to screen the eyes of children in the foster care system without ready access to eye care. From the children we have screened so far, 60% had never seen an optometrist and issues from visual acuity to strabismus were detected in over 45% of the children. These children are now being treated by local eye care professionals and being given glasses where needed.

The Goal

We commit to funding our impact work with a percentage of revenue from our core business (optical software). If you are an NGO, international organisation or similar institution working in health, education or with vulnerable populations please get in touch.

We would love to find a way to work together.
